How I travel

Slowly, and by whatever is moving: a road, a boat, a train, my own two feet.

This journal is filed by way of moving rather than by map. Each route is one of those ways, and each stop is a short piece written where the movement paused: a bend in the road, the middle of a lake, a seat in a carriage, the far end of a walk.

The stops are notes, not guides. They record what I noticed and what went into the notebook. Nothing here is advice on how to get anywhere.
